The general command of the Sudanese armed forces said the Blue Nile province, which borders Ethiopia, is currently witnessing fierce battles between the army and opposition forces. The Sudanese leadership said the rebels attacked the southern part of the Blue Nile province adding that violent battles took place in Yolo district on the borders between the Blue Nile province and the Upper Nile province.
