Morocco and UNDP sign micro-credit development accord

Morocco and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) signed on Wednesday in Rabat a partnership accord for the development of micro-credit in northern provinces.
The accord, concluded within the frame of the UNDP micro-start program, aims to sustain the actions of micro-credit associations in the northern zones and enhance their performance.
The accord calls for the encouragement of private initiatives, the creation of micro-enterprises and struggle against poverty, Map reported.
The UNDP-sponsored micro-start program aims to back up sustained development and fight poverty by allowing poor persons to get the financial means to launch their own businesses.
