Syrian Baath party official confers with Arab expatriates chief

Assistant Secretary general of the Syrian ruling Baath Arab Socialist Party Abdullah al-Ahmar, who is also head of pan-Arab expatriates higher committee, on Tuesday in Damascus received chairman of the Syrian Arab community in France, Rasem Ruslan. Talks dealt with the activities of the Syrian community in France and the role of the association in reactivating these activities in the service of friendly relations between the peoples of France and Syria.
Later in the day al-Ahmar met with head of the Federation of Arab Americans, Orasio Haddad. Talks centered on the activities of the organizations and institutions of the Arab communities under the leadership of the Arab - American establishments Federation in the American continent, and the role of those communities in the consolidation of cultural relations between Syria and the countries of the American continent.
The Syrian official underlined the important multi-sided role played by Arab expatriates in their new countries and in support of Syria's pursuit to achieve a just and comprehensive peace which would restore lands, peace, justice, security prosperity and stability. He noted the supportive role played by Syria for Arab expatriates and Fe-Arab.
Haddad expressed appreciation for Syria's "unswerving stance for the establishment of a just and comprehensive peace in the region, providing for restoring Arab rights and lands."
