Hamas to open new office in Khartoum
Sudan-Palestine, Politics, 6/3/1998
Khartoum governor al-Majzoub al-Khaleifa on Tuesday said that the Palestinian Islamic resistance movement Hamas will open a new office in Khartoum. The Sudanese daily "the other's view" quoted al-Khaleifa as saying that the government also offered Hamas land and a farm whose revenues will be invested in financing the "struggle of the Palestinians." Hamas spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmad Yassin arrived in Khartoum last Friday for a one-week visit to Sudan.
