Syrian Baath Party assistant secretary confers with Habash

Secretary general of the People's Front for the Liberation of Palestine, George Habash, on Monday held talks with the assistant secretary-general of the Syrian Baath Arab ruling party, Abdullah al-Ahmar.
The Front's spokesman Maher al-Taher said that during the meeting Habash stressed the "determination of the Palestinian people inside and outside the occupied Palestinian territories to continue militant struggle and to foil all attempts aiming at undermining the national rights of the Palestinian people."
Habash highlighted the importance of Arab solidarity and appreciated Syria's steadfast stand "in confrontation of the Zionist greed in the Arab region."
