Egypt did not receive official reply from Ethiopia concerning water projects

Mahmoud Abu Zeid, Egyptian minister of public works and water resources, stated that Egypt did not receive a reply concerning Ethiopia's projects involving Nile water resources.
The agreements between the Nile's countries necessitate that any country consult with the rest of the member countries about water projects.
He said that the ministry did not receive data concerning recent reports that the Ethiopian authorities intend to establish two dams on the Blue Nile to a cultivate wide area of land, adding that the international financial corporations require the approval of the member countries on water projects to allow donations and support.
