Lebanese civilian killed by Israelis in south Lebanon

One Lebanese citizen was killed and another wounded as a result of the Israeli bombardment against Arab Salim region in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Lebanese security sources said that the Israeli forces rocketed intensively Arab Salim and the bombardment resulted in the death of citizen Muhammad Muqllid, 17, and his brother was wounded while they were planting trees north of al-Nabatieh.

The source added that so far number of Lebanese civilians killed as a result of Israeli aggressions since the beginning of 1998 increased to 11, whereas 36 were reported as wounded.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance on Sunday attacked the Israeli positions in Beer Klab inside the occupied part of south Lebanon and scored direct hits. The resistance fighters also attacked the occupation positions in Masaroun and Haula, where direct hits were scored among enemy elements and fortifications.

On Saturday, the Israeli occupation troops renewed attacks against areas adjacent to the occupied strip of south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the occupation artillery in al-Zaffata position bombarded the hills and heights of al-Tuffah district. The shelling concentrated on the hill of Mleita, Aqmata orchards and al-Litani riverbed.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese national resistance forces attacked Israeli movements in al-Jamousa and Zamraya positions in the occupied strip of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said direct hits were scored.
