Pakistani ambassador in Cairo seeks Arab support

The Pakistani ambassador in Cairo, Taib Sadiki, stated yesterday after his meeting with Esmat Abdul Meguid, the Arab League's secretary-general, that his country was obliged to conduct nuclear experiments after India held its tests.
He said the Pakistani reaction was a kind of self-defense and there was no other choice. He urged the Arab countries to support Pakistan's stance.
He also added that Pakistan will always support Arab and Islamic issues and confirmed that the Islamic countries have a joint security as is confirmed by the Organization of the Islamic Conference's charter.
Concerning his country's nuclear cooperation with the Arab countries, the Pakistani ambassador said that the Arab countries do not have any nuclear capabilities.
