Jordan in OSCE

Jordan has been recognized as a permanent Mediterranean member of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, OSCE.
The move followed intense contacts with the organization by Jordan's Ambassador to Austria, Dr. Mazin Armooti. The new membership in the Vienna-based organization will provide Jordan with access to one of the world's most influential and effective groups for security and cooperation.
Jordan expects to take an active part in OSCE missions, including resolving conflicts and monitoring elections.
