Former French president visits Tehran today

Former French President Giscard D'estaing arrived today in the Iranian capital, Tehran, for a three-day visit.
An Iranian source said that Iranian President Sayed Khatami, Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi, and deputy chairman of the consultation council Hassan Rohani will meet with the former French president.
D'estaing, 72, was France's president from 1974 - 1981. During his era Khomeini lived for few months in "Novelle Le Chateau" village before coming back to Iran in February of 1979 to topple the Shah.
