Meetings of the ministerial council for the O.A.U on 4 June

Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa will head his country's delegation to the meetings of the 68th ministerial council of the Organization of African Unity, which will be held in Ouagadougou, the capital of Burkina Faso, on June 4-6.

Ambassador Mohammed Shaban, Egypt's assistant foreign minister for African affairs, will leave Cairo tomorrow for Ouagadougou in order to lead Egypt's delegation to the meetings of high negotiators that will proceed the ministerial meeting.

Shaban said on Thursday that the African summit from June 8 - 10 will discuss a number of political issues, including the Comoros Islands, Somalia, Angola and the development of the situation in Burundi. It will also tackle the developments pertaining to the Lockerbie issue and the repercussions of the peace process in Middle East.

He added that the African summit will tackle ideas for the peace process and security on the continent as well as economic integrity between its countries.
