Mexican ambassador in Cairo expects increasing trade volume with Egypt
Egypt-Mexico, Economics, 5/29/1998

Hector Cardinas the Mexican ambassador in Cairo expected an increase in trade exchange between Egypt and Mexico from $24 million to $25 million.

During his meetings with businessmen in Alexandria, the ambassador confirmed on Wednesday that economic relations between the two countries are currently developing rapidly, especially between private sector companies in the two countries aiming to establish a number of joint projects, especially within the similarity of situations and capabilities between Egypt and Mexico, which are both considered less-developed countries.

The ambassador said his country's imports from Egypt include medicines and cotton textiles, while Mexican exports to the Egyptian market include paper, petrochemical products and petroleum pipelines.
