Saudi Arabia and Iran sign multi-faceted cooperation accord

Iran and Saudi Arabia on Wednesday signed in Tehran a cooperation agreement covering economic, trade, technical, scientific, cultural and sport fields.
The agreement was co-signed by Iranian Foreign Minister Kamal Kharazi and his Saudi counterpart Prince Saud al-Faisal, who is currently on an official visit to Iran reflecting the restoration of relations between the two countries.
The Iranian news agency IRNA added that the agreement also covered industrial, mineral, marine and air transport and tourism promotion. The Saudi foreign minister also met with chairman of the Shoura council Ali Akbar Nateq Nouri and former Iranian President Ali Akbar Hashami Rafsanjani.
