Turkey, Israel prepare for military maneuvers

The biannual Turkish-Israeli meeting started in Tel Aviv in the course of security dialogue to discuss means of strengthening bilateral military and security relations, especially preparations for joint military exercises with the participation of the US, similar to those carried out during 1997.
The Israeli daily Haartez said that talks during the meeting will center on anti-missile defense system, "the Iranian danger," and the question of what they alleged as "terrorism."
The Turkish delegation is led by army deputy chief of staff Shafiq Peer and the Israeli side by chief defense ministers aide David Abri. On Wednesday Peer met with Israeli Defense Minister Yitzhak Mordechai and stressed to him Ankara's wish to expand cooperation with Israel.
Meanwhile, the British military "Defense News " magazine said that Jordan and Turkey have started military maneuvers in Jordan which will last for 20 days.
