Improvement in Eritrean - Yemeni relations

A Yemeni source told ArabicNews.com that there are current communications between Asmara and Sanaa to improve relations, open new horizons of cooperation, and activate commercial exchange between them, which has viewed coolness since 1995.
Yemen President Ali Abdullah Saleh and Eritrean President Asias Afworki exchanged congratulation cables, and Afworki sent a cable to Saleh on the Yemeni national day on May 22, to which Saleh replied with a similar communique on the occasion of Eritrea's independence feast on May 24.
