Israel continues aggressions against south Lebanon
Lebanon-Israel, Military, 5/28/1998

The Lebanese resistance on Wednesday continued its attacks against Israeli occupation forces and allied militia in south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance fighters said that groups of their fighters ambushed Israeli patrols along Dible-Rahaf road and in Hadatha, Bint Jbeil, and al-Jamousa towns.

The attacks caused direct hits among the Israeli positions' elements. The resistance also machine-gunned and rocketed Israeli forces in Sujoud in the occupied part of south Lebanon.

Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation troops bombarded areas adjacent to occupied south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said the Israeli artillery in Jabal Hamid position shelled the valleys between Haris and Kafra towns.

Earlier in the day, the Israeli occupation forces shelled the areas of Shabaa, Sujoud and al-Rayhan.

Further reports said that Israeli warplanes carried out mock raids over al-Tuffah district, and raided Barachit town in south Lebanon. One Israeli helicopter shot two rockets against one of the houses in the southern district of Barachit.

Israeli warplanes also flew over Sidon city, and Beirut at low-altitude.
