Libya praises Organization of African Unity's stance concerning Lockerbie case

In a statement issued yesterday the general public committee for external communications and Libyan international cooperation on the anniversary of the establishment of the Organization of African Unity, Libya praised the OAU's stance concerning the dispute between Libya, the U.S. and Britain over the Lockerbie case.
The statement said the OAU has supported Libya in this case since the beginning and demanded the lifting of the sanctions to which the Libyan people are exposed, which Libya considers proof of African unity toward joint issues and destiny.
