Abdul Meguid to visit Lebanon

Arab League Secretary-General Esmat Abdul Meguid will head on May 30 to Lebanon for a two-day official visit.
An official source in the Arab League said that Abdul Meguid will meet with Lebanese President Elias Hrawi, Prime Minister Rafik Hariri, Foreign Minister Fares Boueiz and Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri.
The source added that Abdul Meguid will discuss with the Lebanese leaders the latest developments concerning the Israeli suggestion of conditional withdrawal from south Lebanon, and he said that Abdul Meguid will inform Lebanon that the Arab states support Syrian - Lebanese coordination and emphasize that it strengthens each country's situation in relation to Israel.
The source confirmed that Abdul Meguid will discuss the international position toward the issue of south Lebanon and supporting French attitude toward the Arab stance.
