Sudan - Egypt talks cover Nile river

Sudanese Minister of Irrigation Sherif El-Tohami will arrive on Tuesday in Cairo for an official visit, during which he will head his country's delegation to the meetings of the joint technical organization dealing with Sudanese - Egyptian Nile river water use.

Mohamoud Abu Zied, head of the Egyptian delegation, said that during the meeting today, they will discuss methods of enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination between the two countries within the new mechanism for the countries of the Nile basin in the attendance of ministers of water resources from the basin countries.

Abu Zied also confirmed Egypt's readiness to pay any compensation that Sudan requires on any additions or adjustments to Egyptian properties, that will be given back by Sudan to Egypt.
