Mayor views today the celebration of finishing the repair works of Sphinx

Frederico Mayor, the general manager of the UNESCO organization, arrived yesterday in Cairo for a celebration that will be held today, on the occasion of finishing repairs on the Sphinx that took over 10 years.
Mofid Shehab, the Egyptian minister of higher education and scientific research, said today that President Hosni Mubarak will grant Mayor the Republic's Medal of the First Class in appreciation for UNESCO's great role in repairing the Sphinx.
