Emirates mediate between Qatar and Bahrain

United Arab Emirates sources told ArabicNews.com today that the tour of the UAE minister of state for foreign affairs Sheikh Hamad Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan to Qatar, Bahrain and Saudi Arabia, last week was aimed at rectifying the atmosphere between Qatar and Bahrain.
The sources stated that these endeavors did not address the issue of borders between Qatar and Bahrain, adding that the tour was authorized by UAE President Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan to rectify the atmospheres and enhance the Arab joint work.
In addition Sheikh Hamed Bin Zayed said, "I met the Saudi successor, Sheikh Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz, and informed him of the results of my meeting with the leaders in Bahrain and Qatar."
