Israeli war planes attack south Lebanon

Israeli war planes on Thursday continued raids against the Bekaa district in east Lebanon. For the second time on Thursday, the occupation forces bombarded Jabal Abu Rashid district in al-Bekaa valley, East Sidon.
Lebanese security sources said that two Israeli helicopters raided Jabal Abu Rashid district and dropped two air-to-surface missiles. Later in the day at 6 p.m. another two Israeli helicopters raided a sedan pick up truck in Maidoun, adjacent to Abu Rashid district, and dropped an air-to-surface missile on the vehicle, which was totally destroyed.
Earlier at 1:15 p.m. Israeli warplanes shelled Abu Rashid district, and the shelling resulted in wounding five persons, among whom are Bassam Shehadah and Hadi Qasem Shaker. The Israeli planes were intercepted by Lebanese army anti-aircraft fire.
On Thursday morning the Israeli occupation forces bombarded the outskirts of Ein Qana town, al-Zahrani river bed and woods of Habboush town.
Meantime clashes took place on Thursday between Lebanese resistance groups and an Israeli patrol on Sujud al-Rayhan road. In a statement the resistance said at 3:50 p.m. the resistance attacked an Israeli M-13 armored vehicle at Bier Klab position with rockets and machine-guns and scored direct hits.
