U.N. to survey Iraqi sites for chemical warheads

The Iraqi news agency announced Wednesday that a group of U.N. experts started a mission in Iraq to survey areas where warheads were destroyed, aiming at calculating the number of chemical warheads and equipments destroyed since 1991.
The agency reported through an official source in the circle of the Iraqi national supervision disarming the prohibited weapons that a survey group started its activity for one month aiming at calculating the number of remaining warheads. The special committee wants to detect the chemical shells about which Baghdad says it destroyed during the Gulf War in 1991 as well as detecting the equipment owned by Iraq that was used in producing the chemical weapons.
