Thirty parties dissolved in Algeria, 32 Islamists killed

Algeria's judicial council on Wednesday decided to dissolve some 30 political parties because "they do not abide by the parties law's new items." The Algerian Ministry of the Interior has released a license document for only 24 parties, thereby the political map of the political parties has been reduced from 74 parties before the release of the law to 24 parties after the new party law has taken force.
On the security level, the Algerian dailies Liberte and al-Khabar said army and security forces killed four armed men belonging to the armed groups during recent days and arrested another 12 in the context of a mopping-up campaign carried out in Sidi Budaghen woods in Sidi Bulabbas province.
Al-Khabar daily said the army forces is carrying out a vast mopping up campaign in Meizab mountain in Telmesan province where 23 armed men were killed. Another armed man was killed in Skeikda province. Liberte for its part said security forces killed three armed men in Bani Omran in al-Buweira province.
One person was killed in Annaba province following a bomb explosion.
