Iran reiterates support for Lebanon, Syria

Iran's foreign minister, Kamal Kharazi stressed Iran's support for Syria and Lebanon in their rejection of conditional Israeli proposals on U.N. resolution 425 London based Middle East TV reported on Wednesday.
The Minister said that through such proposals, the Israelis want to change the policies in the region, thereby to void U.N. resolution 425.
He added that if the Israelis want to withdraw from the occupied part of south Lebanon, they can do so unconditionally and stressed the legitimate right of the Lebanese people to resist the occupation, noting that such a right is legal under the U.N. charter.
