Jordan supports establishment of independant Palestinian state

Jordan's Crown Prince Hassan discussed the Middle East peace process with Palestinian Minister of Planning Nabil Shaath. Crown Prince Hassan expressed Jordan's full support for the Palestinians in their struggle to regain their rights and establish their independent state.
"More efforts should be made to break the deadlock in the peace process," Hassan said, "It requires the implementation of all the signed agreements." Both sides also focused on mechanisms needed to energize economic cooperation and increase trade exchange between Jordan and the West Bank.
"The two sides should cooperate in preparing for the Bethlehem 2000 celebration," Prince Hassan said.
