Conference for communication in Beirut at the end of May

The international conference for communications will be held in Beirut from May 26 - 28, in which the Lebanese Ministry of Post and Telecommunications, the Arab corporation for space communications, Arab Sat, the World Bank and some Arab ministers of communications will participate.

Raouf Abu Zaki, the head of economy group and the organization works for the conference, said yesterday, "The conference will tackle some important issues in the communications field, the role of communications in establishing the Arab joint market in addition to examining fields and investment opportunities in the communications sector in the Arab countries, the government's role in financing and organizing these projects. He said the conference will also discuss the role of privatization in the communications sector.
