Jordanian - U.S. military committee to convene in October

Jordanian diplomatic sources said on Tuesday that the meetings of the joint Jordanian - U.S. military committee will convene in October.
After being postponed from last April at the U.S.'s request, the committee will tackle methods of enhancing cooperation between the Jordanian and U.S. armies, as well as reviewing the Jordanian armed forces' needs for equipment and discussing assuring equipment as aid from the U.S. army.
The Jordanian armed forces received in 1997 land, marine and air military equipment worth $100 million from the U.S. as aid.
