Saudi Arabia-Yemen, Politics, 5/20/1998
The Yemeni - Saudi joint committee started today in Nagram city in Saudi Arabia, near the Yemeni border, its efforts to reach an agreement to specify the borders between Yemen and Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Minister of Defense Prince Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz expressed his hope that the committee can reach a final agreement concerning this matter.
Prince Sultan said, "The two countries aim at closing the border file as soon as possible."
Yemeni President Ali Abdallah Saleh said last month that, "Signing this agreement between Saudi Arabia and Yemen depends on small things that could be avoided."
