Syrian - Jordanian agreement to finance constructing al-Wehda Dam

At the conclusion of its meeting yesterday evening, the Syrian - Jordanian committee concerned with the water of al-Yarmouk river reached an agreement on a plan to continue the construction of al-Wehda Dam on the joint river al-Yarmouk.
Doraid Mahsnah, the chairman of the Jordanian delegation, said "the two sides agreed on renewing the economic feasibility study based on the plans that were agreed upon 10 years ago."
The two sides agreed to arrange an international conference in Amman next autumn that aims at inviting international corporations to participate in this project which will make possible the full utilization of the al-Yarmouk river water.
