Abdul Meguid urges Arab states to provide aid to Sudan

Esmat Abdul Meguid, the secretary-general of the Arab League, directed messages to the Arab foreign ministers in which he urged them to move to ease the citizens' suffering in southern Sudan due to war and natural disasters.
In his messages to the Arab foreign ministers, Abdul Meguid informed them of the effort made by the Sudanese governments to cooperate with the specialized organizations of the United Nations and international and regional volunteer assemblies that work in this field to deliver aid to the affected areas without obstructions.
Abdul Meguid called on the Arab countries to move rapidly in presenting aid to Sudan "in order to achieve the humanitarian aim."
