Israeli troops destroy houses in Hamra orchards, wound three fighters

The Lebanese resistance said that fierce clashes took place between one of its groups and an Israeli force in al-Salawki district in the occupied strip of south Lebanon.
In a statement, the resistance said the violent clashes were accompanied by machine-gun fire, rockets and artillery shells. The statement added that Israeli gun-ships carried out a mopping-up operation in the district wounding three resistance fighters.
Meanwhile, Lebanese resistance forces on Monday attacked the Israeli occupation troops' positions in Kantara and Masharoun in the occupied strip of south Lebanon. Direct hits were scored in the two positions. Further reports said the Lebanese resistance on Monday morning carried out an operation against Israeli military reinforcements in Beaufort in the occupied strip of south Lebanon.
Resistance sources said its groups attacked the Israeli reinforcements with machine gun fire and rockets. Direct hits were scored against the Israeli reinforcements and a number of vehicles were destroyed, the sources added.
On Monday at dawn, Israeli war planes shelled with rockets the town of Sujoud in Iqlim al-Tuffah. Informed sources from south Lebanon said the raid was accompanied by intensified flights by Israeli reconnaissance military helicopters.
Later in the day, the Israeli troops bombarded with heavy artillery Amnoon and Hamra orchards. Official sources from the south said the Israeli artillery bombardment targeting Majdal Salem town Saturday night destroyed the houses in the town.
Occupation troops from their positions in Moheibib and al-Teba shelled al-Qaysiya valley, the sides of Shakra, Majdal Salem and al-Sawana towns. The shelling was accompanied by gun-ships flying at low altitudes over the central sector.
Later in the evening Israeli warplanes at 8 p.m. Monday carried out fake raids at low altitudes over Sidon, and Tyre in southern Lebanon. Security sources reported that the Lebanese army's anti-aircraft guns fired at the raiding planes.
