OIC regrets India's nuclear tests
Regional-OIC, Politics, 5/18/1998
Secretary-general of the Organization of the Islamic Conference Ezzddine al-Iraqi expressed deep concern over the nuclear tests recently carried out by India.
In a press release issued at the headquarters of the OIC general secretariat in Jeddah on Sunday al-Iraqi added that such tests constitute grave threats to security in southern Asia through foiling efforts to establish a nuclear weapons free zone. He voiced support for the efforts exerted by the international community to enable the world to get rid of weapons of mass destruction, including nuclear ones.
