Jordan's deputy premier in Egypt: coordination is imperative

Accompanied by Minister of Trade and Industry Hani Mulqi, Jordanian Deputy Premier and Foreign Minister Jawad Anani arrived in Cairo, Egypt, yesterday for talks with the Egyptian authorities on the faltering peace process.
"Coordination between Egypt and Jordan is imperative in reviewing the critical circumstances in both the Gulf and the peace process in the Middle East," Anani told the reporters.
Also on the agenda are bilateral relations and economic cooperation between the two countries.
Anani said he would deliver a message from Jordan's King Hussein to Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak.
Egyptian Foreign Minister Amr Moussa received Anani at the airport. "The deadlock in the peace process and the incidents that took place in the occupied territories require close coordination between Jordan and Egypt," Moussa said.
Moussa added that the Israeli government must reconsider its policies toward the Palestinian people who expreses their extreme frustation due to the peace process' failure, especially after 50 years of Israeli occupation of their lands.
