Increasing Egypt's imports from the Arab states

A report from the Egyptian central body for general mobilization and statistics said that the value of the Egyptian imports from the Arab states reached $56 million in January, compared to $39.5 million in January 1997, an increase of about $16.2 million Egyptian in imports during this period.
The report stated that Egyptian imports from Saudi Arabia reached $37.4 million during January while imports from Syria were worth $2.9 million, from Jordan $1.2 million, from Algeria $5.29 million, from Sudan $1 million, from Tunis $1 million, and from Lebanon $2.5 million, while the value of Egypt's imports from the rest of the Arab states did not exceed $294,000.
