Egypt, Argentina agree to develop nuclear reactors for peaceful purposes

Engineer Maher Abaza, the Egyptian minister of energy and electricity, confirmed after signing a protocol for technical cooperation in field of energy with Alfredo Meirkeen, the Argentine minister of energy, the two countries' readiness to develop experimental nuclear reactors to produce radioisotopes used in agriculture and industry, medical equipment and raw uranium needed for activating the reactors.
Meanwhile the two parties exchanged technical experiences about the privatization of electricity projects and encouraging the two countries to establish electricity stations and benefit from Argentina's experience in overcoming technical problems facing the electricity networks after moving to the privatization stage.
