Al-Azhar Sheikh condemns criminal act in Jerusalem

Al-Azhar Imam Sheikh Mohammed Sayyed Tantawi condemned yesterday evening the attack carried out by Israeli extremists on Wednesday night against Al Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem.
Tantawi stated that this attack, in which an entrance to the mosque was set on fire, was a criminal action against Al Aqsa, and all who participated in this criminal act have to be strictly punished for attacking a place of god. He added that Palestine has to take all measures that would suppress those who commit this sort of action.
Tantawi also called all on Arabs and Moslems to stand beside the Palestinians and support them, so they can repulse this attack.
