Arab Lawyers' Union calls for halting normalization with Israel
Regional, Politics, 5/15/1998

In a statement on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Israeli seizing of Palestine, the Arab Lawyers Union called on the Arab states to halt normalization operations with Israel, hold a conference on Israeli violations against the Arab societies and gather Arab efforts to boycott all that is Israeli.

The union called on the Arab states and their governments to review the dimensions of this disaster and its lessons and unite around the process,to confronting Israeli plots, in which the union said Zionists worldwide and the U.S. attempt to impose their plans upon the Arab region and place the region under their domineering umbrella.

Then the statement said that the first important missions Arabs have to fulfill are maintaining the Arab identity of Palestine, preventing the Judaization of Jerusalem, supporting the Palestinian people and affirming their existence on their lands, and enhancing the spiritual culture, civil resistance and all other forms of resistance, including armed struggle.
