Yemeni President assigns al-Iryani to form new cabinet

Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Thursday assigned his foreign minister, Abdul Karim al-Iryani to form a new Cabinet after two weeks since the resignation of former Prime Minister Faraj Bin Ghanem.
The Yemeni news agency, Sabaa, said that a presidential decree was enacted providing for assigning al-Iryani (63). Al-Nahar added that Bin Ghanem (61) resigned because the Yemeni President refused to carry out a Cabinet reshuffle.
