ACSAD concludes deliberations

The 24th session of the general assembly of the Arab Center for the Studies of Arid Areas and Dry Zones (ACSAD) concluded its meetings on Wednesday in Damascus.
Participants in the meetings issued a number of resolutions providing for preserving Arab water rights, assigning ACSAD with the task of forming a project for setting up an Arab network for water resources training, getting more involved in world forums on specialized legislation on joint waters, advocating ACSAD's role on follow-up of world agreements for combating desertification, accepting members, and forming ACSAD's new executive council, grouping Tunisia, Sudan, Iraq, Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, and Oman.
