Oman team to attend Gulf states chambers meets

The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) will participate in the 33rd meeting of the board of directors of the union of Gulf Cooperation Council states' chambers which began in Doha yesterday. Sheikh Salim Al-Khalili, OCCI's president, will head the sultanate's delegation.

The meeting will discuss several economic topics aimed at boosting trade between the gulf states, in addition to programs to solidify Gulf states partnerships. It will also discuss a proposal to establish a training center for public and private sector employees in the G.C.C. states and setting up a Gulf economic forum in Geneva.

Among the topics listed on the agenda are the obstacles facing the flow of goods and services between the G.C.C. states as well as the holding of Gulf exhibitions in various G.C.C. states simultaneously.
