Syrian finds displayed in Canada
Syria-Canada, Culture, 5/13/1998
The antiquities department in the Syrian province of Idleb (in northern Syria) is currently preparing to take part in an exhibition of archaeological finds due to be held in Canada. Idleb's museum director said the museum hosts antiquities and finds that date back to different historical epochs.
In 1997, Idleb took part in an exhibition by the Arab World Institute in Paris, and its finds were displayed in Seville, Spain and in an Austrian city. Some of these finds are now on view in Brussels in the exhibition under the name "Syria: The Origin of Writing."
