Israeli shelling damages school, homes in Kafer Tabnet

Israeli forces on Monday shelled an elementary school in Kafer Tabnet town in south Lebanon wounding a girl student.

The Israeli attack also resulted in damage to a Lebanese citizen's house and the electrical grid in the town. The Israeli artillery shelled the area located between Qaqayet al-Jesser and Eastern and Western Zotar and Mifdoun as well as the deserted Lebanese army barracks in al-Nabatiyeh al-Foukka.

Israeli troops and allied South Lebanon Army forces evacuated Shakra position in the occupied strip of south Lebanon due to the daily operations carried out by the Lebanese resistance against this position.

Israeli war planes violated Lebanese airspace. Lebanese security sources said Israeli planes flew over al-Nabatiyeh and al-Tuffah districts carrying out provocative fake raids.

Meanwhile, the Lebanese resistance attacked with machine-guns and rockets, two Israeli positions in Ali al-Taher hill and al-Dabsheh in the occupied part of south Lebanon. In a statement, the resistance said it scored direct hits in the two Israeli positions.

In another development, Lebanon has lodged a new complaint to the April Understanding Monitoring committee, concerning the Israeli attacks last Sunday on Jebaa town in south Lebanon which inflicted damage on houses.

The Lebanese resistance on Monday attacked by artillery and rockets the occupation troops position in al-Ahmadya and Kawkaba in the eastern sector of occupied south Lebanon.

The Lebanese resistance said in its statement that direct hits were scored for the second time on Monday, while Israeli occupation troops violated the items of April Understanding providing for not targeting the civilians or launching military attacks against the populated areas when the occupation forces bombarded Tabnin town in south Lebanon. Lebanese security sources said a Lebanese retired soldier and an 8- year old girl were wounded in Tabnin town.
