Four Palestinian captives arrive in Iraq

According to their request, the four Palestinian captives Iran agreed to release recently as per the request made by the leader of the Hamas movement, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, arrived today in Iraq.

Iraqi sources told ArabicNews.com that the captives' families are in Iraq, therefore the Palestinian captives decided to follow them.

The four Palestinian captives contributed to the Iran - Iraq war on behalf of the Iraqi forces. Three of them were captured in 1982 while the fourth was captured in 1985.

Sheikh's Yassin request was made during his visit to Iran where he asked the guide of the Iranian Republic, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei and President Sayed Khatami to release the four captives: Mohammed Hussein, Mohammed Ramadan Sityam, Tawfik Attayia, and Ahmed Abdullah Salim.
