U.S. - Egyptian cooperation in genetic engineering

Dr. Youssef Wali, the Egyptian deputy prime minister and minister of agriculture, announced yesterday Egypt's cooperation with the U.S. in genetic engineering specializing in agriculture, pointing out that there is no danger to the general public health.
The minister added that the exchanging of scientific research between the two countries continues at its natural rate for increasing agricultural production.
Wali also confirmed that Egypt and South Africa are trying new applications for agricultural genetic engineering.
