Jordanian prisoners home free from Kuwait

Six Jordanian prisoners freed by the Kuwaiti authorities arrived yesterday evening at Jordanian airport in Amman, among them was one woman. The Jordanians were released as per an amnesty issued by Kuwait's Emir.
The released Jordanians served eight years in Kuwati custody. They were convicted for cooperating with invading Iraqi forces during the invasion of Kuwait by Iraqi armed forces in 1990.
Jordan's King Hussein has made great efforts to win the Jordanians' release.
This is the first group among 13 Jordanians jailed in Kuwait. ArabicNews.com was informed that the remaining seven Jordanian prisoners are to be freed during the next week. The Kuwaiti amnesty was issued for all the 13 Jordanian prisoners in Kuwait.
