U.S. delegation to arrive soon in Baghdad

Iraqi ambassador Nabil Negem, Iraq's delegate to the Arab League, stated that a U.S. delegation comprised of 82 Amreicans will arrive in a few days at the Iraqi capital Baghdad.

Negem said in a statement to ArabicNews.com that the U.S. delegation will be headed by former U.S. Attorney General Ramsey Clark, and the delegation will carry medicines and medical equipment to the Iraqi people.

Negem added that the delegation will comprise retired officials, businessmen and people concerned with human rights from all over the U.S. They will spend a week in Iraq to express their solidarity with the Iraqi people, he said.

Negem said the delegation has a program to see some Iraqi officials and said they will visit hospitals to see the damages caused by the U.N. economic sanctions.
