Arafat discuss with Mubarak on Monday's U.S. talks
Palestine-Egypt, Politics, 5/7/1998

Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat arrived at Cairo from Tunisia after he held a meeting with Tunisian President Zien El-Abidin Bin Ali, informing him about the results of this week's peace talks in London.

Arafat met with Mubarak about the details of the negotiations in London, and he informed him about the U.S. point of view and U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright's view.

A Palestinian source told ArabicNews.com that the two presidents discussed the coming talks on Monday in Washington the under sponsorship of U.S. President Bill Clinton.

The Palestinian leader said in press statements today in Cairo, "We are still confronting obstacles from Israel," then he denied that he agreed to have Abu Dis as the capital of Palestine. "Abu Dis," he said, "is a part of Jerusalem. In Jerusalem there is the Aqsa Mosque, the church of El-Kiama and the land that was occupied at 1967."
