300 million citizens are the Arab census in 2000

The Egyptian Demographic Center said on Wednesday that the Arab world's population will reach 300 million citizens by the beginning of the new century. This number accounts for 5% of the world's population. The average Arab population growth is considered the highest among the world's countries. Egypt is the most populous Arab state with about 62 million citizens.
