Israeli Levy presented to prosecution for sneaking into Egypt

An Egyptian judicial source said yesterday that the Israeli citizen who swam to Taba beach was presented to the military prosecution.
The source stated that the military prosecution in the Suez area decided to detain Israeli citizen Mordechai Levy for 15 days while it investigates his illegal entry into Egypt. Levy swam on last Sunday from the Israeli harbor Eilat to the Egyptian harbor of Taba and asked for the right of asylum from Egypt.
A spokesman for the Israeli embassy in Cairo stated that Levy snuck into Egypt for personal reasons and expressed his hope that Levy may be soon released.
